Man in custody after kidnapping elderly casino patron

To complement the series of unfortunate events in the casinos, an 84-year-old woman has now been robbed and repeatedly beaten and kidnapped from the casino where she played. Fortunately, the criminal has already been caught and has been detained since Friday.

He is accused of kidnapping the woman in the Wind Creek Bethlehem garage and inflicting bodily harm and other charges. He was unable to pay the $ 1 million security deposit that Northampton county officials had been given.

The suspect’s name is Hykeem Rasmeen Sessoms, 38, from Bethlehem. He has been charged with robbery, serious harm, terrorist threats, theft, stolen property, and simple assault charges. After the arrest took place on Wednesday, judge Joseph K. Barner ordered the prison sentence the following day at the Northampton County District Court.

It all started on Wednesday afternoon when the woman returned to her car, which was parked in the Wind Creek garage. Apparently Sessoms sneaked up behind the woman and asked her to give him the money. The suspect told this woman that he had a gun in his hand and kicked her shin.

The victim was reported to have suffered a serious injury to her leg when the suspect allegedly kicked her, and the old woman was also reported to have head injuries. She informed the authorities that Sessoms punched her in the head with her fist. Fortunately, her injuries were not life threatening and she became aware of it in a local hospital.
